I had a little woops with my 2014 viper and bent my rear rails. I have a timbersled rear skid so finding rails was not easy. Called ice age and ordered new custom rails. The time line keeps getting pushed back and I’m getting fed up. Where do I find a complete skid. When boost it was open it would have been easy but now I’m not sure where to look. Anyone have any pointers. I have called cr racing.

I usually poke fun at others misfortune but man this sucks for you. No rails around and they are custom so that adds to the wait time.
It's getting dicey with holidays here so you threw up your arms and you will take a complete skid if it comes to that.

Are they so bad that you cannot straighten out. We straighten rails all the time. Unless you pretzel them.

BTW, use a press not a hammer LOL.

Straight, but definitely weaker.

They aren’t bent bad but have a twist to them too. I will call Dave at redline today.

I was always told straightening them was a no go.

I’m just getting frustrated with being told next week every week. Time to make a decision I guess

Regular factory rails this is true, once bent they are weaken. But if you have Iceage rails that is not the case. Iceage rails are 6061 (6000 series) grade aluminum. If you have newer rails then 7000 series aluminum. They will take some straightening with no ill effect. They are a far better rail then factory. The trick is to use a press, no heat, if they are twisted you might be out of luck.

Think I have a set of Ice Age rails for a timber skid. But probably 174. would work if you are considering going longer.
