Yep, I can't argue that point, lots of money spent in the local communities after a spill or leak.
In the short term yes. But not in the long term when the tax payers and land owners are left holding the bag for everything the corporation cut corners on. Ie. the Valdez spill.

How about giving them a "time out".

Shut your field in until this sh!t is cleaned up and an investigation is completed and changes are made so this doesn't happen again.

This happened to the company where I work, a natural gas transmission line failed and ruptured, the gas lit and a fire followed. It was lucky that it was in a remote area, the only damage was a few burnt trees, had it been dry out it would have been much worse. The National Energy Board did a full investigation and the complete pipeline was hydro tested to max working pressure and then it was put back into service. This took about 3 months. Being as it was natural gas the environmental impact was far less severe. I suspect there will be more failures like this in the future due to the age of some of the lines. Since this pipe issue my employer has stepped up the smart pigging alot to try to prevent future issues.

I lived up there winter after I was born, 1968/69. my pops worked for Estabrook const and my ma cooked in their camp. then again in the late 80's when I worked at White Pass moving rigs, and then Kanhaul. then pretty much every year after that moving rigs and equipment. there's worse places to work....just can't think of them right now

Great, then I guess its ok to have a major pipeline problem there.

Once again your sense of humor is very lacking.

How can this be? They lay the hor**** on so deep during public events or during their propaganda filled orientations you wouldn't think a drop ever hit the ground. They are all the same, I try not to puke when they go on about how "commited to the environment" they are, they should add the disclaimer "as long as it doesn't cost us any money"
I'm conflicted, the patch affords me a comfortable living and then dumb **** like this happens

Salt water kills pretty much all vegetation that doesn't grow in or near the ocean. Worse for the plant life than oil is.

It was a joke dumbazz #2

Ill explain it for you fools, IMDOOIN Quote ''Salt water is definatly not good"
You see I was poking fun at that statement because its rediculous.
If he said not good for swamps, i would have left it alone.
Ive worked with "produced water" I know all about it... k?

But You know whats even worse for vegetation? Pavement. West Edmonton mall is destroying more "pristine habitat" then the pipe line spill up in sh#t hole city....

I think stompin tom is actually probably wrecking more swamp land with his quad judging from his avatar
