Right On The Head........."Bogger".......off the boat or canoe, in to the welfare office ! And we will even open closed Hospitals for you, that we couldn't keep open for Canadians ! Then you can bring the rest of your family over. And as a bonus the more Babies you have the bigger your monthly income !
Lets worry about the "People that built this country".....Before our....New Canadians !

A complete waste of time and taxpayers money. We currently do not have a viable alternative and will in all likelyhood only end up with another minority government. Harper, Layton or Ignaitif. Harper looks pretty dam good in that

Ugh, here we go again, imo all the political parties need major improvement but the Conservatives are the best of the bunch (that's not saying much). Is the budget great?? No could use some improvement but I haven't seen anything to convince me that the liberals or *cough* NDP have anything better. Not the best time for an election and I see the result as another Conservative minority.

I read the statements on CTV and CBC and cannot believe how people buy into stories from both the media and political parties. Being in the military lets use that as an example. For years the Liberals cut defence spending, slashing programs (EH-101, Sea King replacement which we are still waiting for a replacement for and cost half a billion to break the contract). Defence spending is not cheap and the conservatives are playing catch up right now with what the liberals cut. The CF18 is a 25 year old fighter that has been through 2 major upgrades, the last one costing 2 Billion and is to the point where the need to be replaced.

So as to the 16 Billion dollar F-35 purchase, the Liberals signed onto a program in the 90's to develop a 5th generation fighter/bomber, a competition WAS held and the only 2 companies to BID were Lockheed Martin and Boeing, and so far the Canadian Government (starting with the Liberals) has funded 300-500 million for the project. The Liberals/NDP/Joe public is calling for an bid process....why? When one was already held and the F-35 was selected. For a canadian company to provide a 5th Gen aircraft would cost billions more and push the project into 2025, at which point F-18's would be falling out of the sky. It is simply misinformation put out by political parties to win votes.

Bottom line with defence spending is that it is not cheap, and being in the military I am thankful for what the Conservatives have done, if not for them we would have 5 x the casualties we have had in Afghanistan (Which once again the Liberals sent us into, underequiped).

They're all crooks but like I said the Cons are the lesser of them so since it appears I'll have to vote....Again, I'm pretty sure I know where my [X] is going.

Justice system needs an overhaul as well....

Death penalty for heinous crimes beyond the shadow of doubt... pedaphiles, seirial rapists etc.... if the bleeding hearts don't like it thay can contribute to a fund to finance keeping these monsters alive....
Creative sentancing for lesser crimes, tatoos for repeat offenders, work programs to finance costs... we will send soldiers off to dangerous, dirty, war torn areas of the world in the name of honor & justice, yet people whine and cry about prisoner rights..... sorry dude you forfitted your rights when you consciously made a decision to break the law....

also, the tough on crime figures are not outrageous! was listening to rutherford the other day and they had an "expert" on going over the figures for the federal jail system. the liberals/ndp are all yelling about 500 million more into the sytem, when in reality, it takes the jail budget from 1% of total budget to 1.2%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whooppy friggin doo!!!!! that's just opposition parties trying to make mountains out of mole hills, plain and simple!

Perhaps a majority this time, then we wouldn't have this circle jerk every 6 mos to a year. Let us not forget it wasn't that long age the Libs and NDPs wanted to form a coalition with the Quebec Separatists who have ZERO interest in Canada in part, or as a whole. How is that in the best interest of this country??? We also lost the Long Gun registry vote due to a lack of a majority! We're still the best country in the world, let's quit trying to F%$k it up!!!!!!!!!!!

They're in there for their own best interest. Watch them perform during question period is "sinful" to be kind. My grandchildren act in a more respectful manner.

I wish we could designte how our tax dollars are spent via voting. Stupid stupid olympics.....

Momma, imo the olympics were a great thing. The world is full of hatred / killing / guns / bombs etc etc. At this time our government is looking at spending billions to buy military jets and the only complaint is that there was no open competition to buy them. Dont get me wrong, regrettably each country needs their military hardware to protect their borders but when do we set aside a time to peacefully compete for our country without looking down the barrel of a gun? I am fortunate enough to have to travel overseas a lot for my business and get to see some shady parts of the world and trust me we have nothing to complain about in this country. I feel lucky that I live in this country and we have the ability to host the Olympics even though we as tax payers paid to host them. There are a lot worse things out there. Just my 2 cents worth. :)

We may not all agree on, if, or why they should held, or the costs associated with them, but no one can deny how the country came together to support the athletes, especially the ones representing Canada. It was after all their best showing in a Winter Olympics. I am of the belief that we can't be all about government, business, etc. We need a relief every now and then such as the Olympics to showcase our country and support our athletes! I don't remember anyone saying they were ashamed of Canad after the Olympics. Just my opinion.

Some really smart dude(Winston Churchill) once said: "Many forms of Government have been tried and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."

there is no place for religion in politics.... the church of maxwell along with the catholic religion will also be loosing it's tax free status.... the rights and freedoms to practice the belief of ones choice is a fundamental right but if a church/religion/parrish is run as a business it should be taxed as a business...

the roman catholic church creats more revenue than google....AND is tax excempt...

Non-proffit my azz......

man it's going to take a little bit of communion wine to get you settled down, or at least a flat of brewhouse. :d

Well, Looks like this will be the first time I get to vote! :)

I didn't feel like reading all 7 or so pages, so if someone already posted this lemme know.

I vote for Maxwell, He seems to be what all the hype is about.
