Wow.......... Like we all have the time, energy, or resources to have another election!!! Friggin' politicians are greedy, selfish, self centered beureaucrats with nothing better to do, than one up the next politician......... 4th election in like 7 years?? Wtf!!! Can't the other parties realise, no one wants any of them, any more than they want the conservatives. I think we almost need to adopt the american way of voting. Vote for your party, then vote for the prime minister......... Jus' sayin'........ Any other thoughts on this topic?

Nothing has changed. Same people to vote for, this election will change nothing. Waste of time. However if the Liberals lose again it will force a leadership review which could affect some change for the next elelction.

The only thing you really have to know to run a country/province/city properly is the will of the people.... you can hire/appoint experts to look after the details....

Fawking politicians, I agree with the separate vote for prime minister and Party, problem is now days there is no separation between the parties, the partisian system has become mirky and no one will actually take a stand unless it disscredits another party/person and benefits thier personal/party agenda. Most canadians have certain beliefs that are liberal in thinking, but in other ways may be conservative, no one wants to see the environment wreaked but at the same time we can not bring industry to a grinding hault to appease the extremist tree huggers.....

there seems to be little choice out there, nothing worse than having to decide on the lesser of 2 evils...

How ab a crime bill that they will not disclose how much it will cost. Lets face it, the American way of dealing with crime does not work. It just costs way too much money.

At the same time, they put out a no-bid contract for how many billions of dollars for fighter jets?

problem with that trish is the complexity of the accounting required to maintain such a system.... now there should be a priority list included with each ballot so the elected government can prioritize spending based on the wants of the majority....

I have a huge issue with hand-outs to immigrants & refugees while our own citizen elderly are forced to live below poverty after working an contributing thier whole lives.... As a country we are willing to provide a safe haven for refugees and the opportunity for immigrants to build a better life, this should not cost the taxpayers the billions of dollars it does there are so many options which are left unexplored.... low interest loans as opposed to hand-outs and if in a certain timeframe they default then thier immigration status is revoked.... the welfare system in this country is horrible as is the EI system...There are people who purposly have more kids to increase welfare benefits, lifers who know nothing but and those who collect OUR tax funds while maintaining "under the table" employment.
My dad worked steady for over 30 years and when he was laid off he was eligable for 16 weeks of EI, yet seasonal workers are eligable for 26+ weeks after only 10 weeks of employment....

there is no place for religion in politics.... the church of maxwell along with the catholic religion will also be loosing it's tax free status.... the rights and freedoms to practice the belief of ones choice is a fundamental right but if a church/religion/parrish is run as a business it should be taxed as a business...

the roman catholic church creats more revenue than google....AND is tax excempt...
