I also heard that Brazil has turned down money and offers of equipment and fire fighting personnel. I also read in the National Post on the weekend that the fires were set to clear previously cleared agriculture land not pristine jungle. Yes this sounds like another made up emergency being whipped up by our environmental guru's in power.

So here is my thoughts and I can believe this hasn’t been thought of or Maybie it has:

Trees have grown for 30-80 years they’re tall, lots of brush and deadfall. Every time there’s a fire we put it out, which doesn’t let the area renew and creates a greater fire hazard, this is a constant cycle that has been going on longer than humans been on this planet. Then we have a few fires, which you look at the graphs for 80 plus years this is normal and everyone is crapping. Same with the glaciers melting they have been melting for our entire existence and way before humans. I’m just sick of all this climate crap. I refer to it as climate evolution as it’s always been evolving and always will. We can pay high carbox taxes and that won’t have anything to do with this. With the world of internet and social media this has spun this all sideways and the younger generation is led to believe that our world is ending. Over time we will evolve and adapt if there is a climate crisis, well the climate Barbie has put fear into many Canadians and Trudy is doing the same and he is criticizing everyone else that doesn’t think his way in the G7, under the public eye.

the world IS ending Ron...... pay attention.

I see that the Edmonton City Council is declaring a climate emergency; What ever that means? I guess it is true to control the masses, whip them up into a hysteria with inaccurate information and then it becomes easy for the government to exert their control.

The forest fire cycle, and lack thereof due to fire fighting is well known in rural BC. Too much over mature timber waiting to burn to re-start its natural cycle has built up due to 80 years of very effective forest fire fighting.

Well said and exactly what the US Forest Service now thinks as well Ron. About 10 years ago my daughter and I took a Yellowstone Park snow coach tour when down in the area snowmobiling. The ranger told us they only fight fires now that threaten human lives or property as they have found out over the years that if you let to much of the forest get old at the same time you will end up with massive areas where the forest dies from old age and there is no natural reforestation cycling that happens with fires. Actually made sense when you think of it.

That’s what they do in the Canadian parks now too, we even do controlled burns to help mitigate the risk of huge fires.
