Another death near Edson

A 32 year old woman was killed while clearing snow for Talisman Energy with a bulldozer. She was pulled under the track and crushed. My condolences for the family and friends.

Very tragic, and iam only speculating but its one of the dangers with the differential steering and shift levers on cats. If you exit the cab on the left side without engaging the parking break its possible to snag clothing on the steering/shift lever and the cat can go into gear or turn as you go out the cab. Many people who have run equipment alot have had this happen,myself included.
Likewise with trackhoes, if the house lock isnt engaged you can catch clothing on the house swing lever and its possible to get pulled under the tracks.

an to think im on equipment everyday an many of friends work alongside me,,,i have no idea what i would do if that happened...
