So the ultrasound tech is standing there anyway, and can tell you in a second the sex of the fetus.

One..what tech in good concious is actually going to enforce this.
Two..I would just pay the tech $50. Put it in the pocket of the little people and not the gov.

The previous policy was for hospitals to refuse to tell parents the gender of their fetus unless it was medically necessary. But under the new policy, parents who pay $50 can be told the gender by their doctor after the ultrasound.

I think the problem is, many immigrants will simply abort (not necessarily in a clinic) female fetuses.

Telling the parents will cost the health care system alot more than $50 per baby because of this and the govt. knows it.

This new generation needs to know so they can buy everything before hand......personally I never wanted to know and I had the option....Me likes surprises...

We didn't care what the sex was with our first child....being healthy was our biggest concern. Now three girls later ( 12,16,19 ) life is full of surprises
