I am sure that many of you already know me from Snowest as I have been a member there since Feb 2001. But it is time to move forward.
I have been sledding since 1990 and seriously mountain riding since 2001. I bent my tunnel in 2002 and if you are going to replace the tunnel, you might as well build the sled the way you want. It might actually be easier to say the only stock things on the sled are the bulkhead, belly pan, jackshaft, drive shaft, and a portion of the suspension. In 1.5 yrs I went from how do you get this dang airbox back on to completely rebuilding my sled, by myself. Ok, there were plenty of late night IMs and phone calls, but I did it. I still whine about the airbox though. The sled was originally a 2001 Polaris 800 RMK.
My husband (who I met on Snowest) and I also have XTC Racing and sell aftermarket snowmobile parts. We manufacture Hood Tie Down kits and sell many other parts. Someday I will get our website done.
I am also actively involved in our 4x4 club here and have a 95 Jeep Wrangler that I play with during the summer.
I have two kids. My daughter is 23 and currently living and working in Scottsdale, AZ. She used to me my riding buddy. I used to ground her and make her go riding with me. Now she only goes riding when she models for Klim. My son is 16 and 6'4". He does not really enjoy riding anymore. Guess he spent too much time on the sleds going round and round the house when he was 3+. He does not play football, but loves speech and debate and got a 4.0 this last quarter. We also have a 2 yr old lab/rot mix who goes on all our trips with us.
My husband and I live in Montana and have ridden from Alaska down to California and many points in between. We used to do an annual birthday ride in Revelstoke in June every year, I miss those June rides. Would like to get back up to Revy this year, but also need to go to Smithers area and visit my husband's mother.
I am a Computer Systems Analyst by day and an adrenaline junkie by weekend.
I am looking for some good interaction, little to no whining, lots of useful information, and new friends to go riding with. I need something simple and easy to use without a ton of BS or foo foo.
Looking forward to a great time.
