I've often though about it. Even just fitting an aluminum bottom over the fibreglass kinda like teflon on bigger boats.

I've ran mine on the river and have the bodyshop fibreglass bills to prove it. Cost me a lot of money not once but twice. Aluminum or Teflon bottom would be the answer for sure. We've ran them on the North Sask and also tried the Pembina. Got too cocky both times.

it can be done , but to do it properly with Teflon or aluminum , im thinking one would have to do a complete tear down of the sea doo and have a bare hull to attach either A or T .... both of which would reguire a lot of welding , bending , molding , heating , beer , cussing an head scratching..... the end result will be fun as hell , until you snag a rock going into a high speed corner in the SKINNY as you jet boaters call it ...... but it can be done ..... so if anyone has a PWC in DV that you want this done to , bring it over and lets see what we can doo ( for a small fee ) as I am laid up right now .... just throwing it out there

I can only imagine, had our jet skis on the NSR once. No damage but close calls. Up for sale, sold and bought the Tjet Bulldog. That 1/2 " of plastic on the bottom to me is my idiot insurance for the learning curve.

Be quite the rig if someone made a jet ski that can take some abuse, I would imagine the dismounts might be a bit more painful and risky. I found a couple vids a while back of guys on river in Idaho I think on the stand up jobs, some big air and bigger water. Those guys had a set of stones to be playing in that.
