This past May I bought a house at the staging area at Alpine. I have been up a few times and finally got through. I too have been looking at ways to hook up to Six Mile. After walking up from the mine and looking over to the other side, the decent is doable as it isn't too steep. I could only see for about 1.5 km's down though and thick trees may be a problem after that. I can see on Google Earth that there are old trails just below that go down to the trail system.

I will sort some pictures and add them shortly.

Happy happy happy! My old stopping grounds are back for all to see. Some of the best ground to play on is right here!
Iv built road,logged,mountain biked, road sled/sxs and the odd midnight run back in the day on that hill side when I lived at the bottom of that old road.
Good job boys!

Nice Chris. The snowfall was real decent this year for the most part and there is lots of depth left at elevation. Stuck going down hill??????? Must have been something else on your mind!

To be honest, it was so bright out with no contour visible that I didn't even see that dip, kinda caught me by surprise.
