Are we going to be welcomed in the BC interior towns this winter? I’m sure the businesses want us but the non snowmobile community might have different a opinion.

I MIGHT do an overnight at a B&B but no way would I park overnight on the street or parking lot at a hotel.
Just not worth it.

The new turbo crowd will be out every weekend, I'll wait and see how it turns out for them until Christmas at least......lol

everything's fine ive been in and out of small BC towns all summer. Always going to be a few nut jobs but dont let that stop you. Those towns need your business whether a couple local socialist wack jobs like it or not. You can check your lug nuts in about 45 seconds and its not a bad thing to get in the habit of anyways

One question I have, specifically for the Valemount/Blue River areas, is how the TMX expansion project is going to affect getting to and from the hill. I had a meeting with one client last week and he mentioned that things are going to be ramping up for them around Valemount here shortly and to expect a lot of truck traffic (more that there usually is on hwy 5) and delays. I know they have camps built but hotel rooms might be in short supply this winter? And before anyone jumps down my throat, I'm 100% for TMX, my job and company I work for is directly affected by its construction. Hopefully there is balance for these communities to have the tourism dollars from sledding and the pipeliners coexist.

I will be sledding, lots of time for attitudes to change. Maybe more day trips than normal,
Its the staging areas that make me wonder. lug nuts are not a big deal, and it will be easy to determine if someone messed with a wheel by the footprints in the snow.
Cut valve stems would piss me off, body damage etc, that cam happen anytime anywhere unfortunately.

I wanted to go to BC on holidays again this summer, that Douche Horgan and his comments made the decision easy.

How about trail passes and grooming? Who has control over the land? Can we be stopped from riding, two weeks of no grooming the trails would be brutal.

TMX is in full swing welding and laying pipe in Edson. We have not noticed much of a disturbance in our routine, the pipeline is 500 yards from my house, the crew is doing a excellent job.

Had no issues this summer while in the kootenays.
My Dad owns a place in Ainsworth. And the past few years he was buying a BC fishing license. This year the fish cops took that from him, said your drivers license says Alberta. The plates on your truck says Alberta. You cant have a BC license.

Other then that him and Mom aren't hassled. They live there pretty much 7 months out of the year.

And for this winter. As long as the boarders are open I'll be heading to BC to ride.

That will depend on the BC Government. They control whether we can groom on crown land or not. They told us to quit in the spring.

I talked with mu buddies from Manitoba and they are coming this winter to sled. Some Fernie hotels even sent them emails with some sweet deals on their rates.

I've been all over the West over the last couple months.. Only issue i've had was in MB, those damn Jets fans, had at least 3 give me a hard time about the Jets beating the flames... We joked, was respectful and moved on, otherwise business as usual..
