people love the idea of communism, every one is equal, live as a big family, until they find out some are more equal than others and the majority are very poor and have nothing, while the few live in mansions and take cruises. sad really!

6 million + properties,,, if 3 million + places have a/c thats a massive drag on the system...

Just imagine how hot the lines are at 80% load little lone max capacity...

Add in 4 million washers,,, dryers,,, welders,,, manufacturing plants and shops,,, feed mills and grain elevators,,, e-trains,,, city water and sewer pumps...

And 100 million + light bulbs and computers...

Yuppers,,, Alberta is a user of power not a producer very often...

We need too bring more coal and natural gas generation stations on line...

Alberta ships 8 too 1000 train car loads out of province every 24 hours so other counties can power up their infrastructure...

Make zero cents too Me,,, ship out coal for others too burn but not here since we have the cleanest emissions on the globe...

Canada the land of windmills and solar power for 7 X's the price for out-put at max of 30% return on energy per year...

No wind no sun we'll freeze our @zz's off...

The way I see it is this. The customer PAYS a ridiculous amount of fees and taxes for the energy we consume. These companies along with the government need to use this money wisely to ensure we have these services available 24/7. If that means the use of coal or NG, so be it. There is no reason to be asking the public to conserve energy. Give me a fawking break! Rant over

True but it’s not always a matter of generation lacking. Could be congestion on the transmission lines as well. The Alberta economy will never grow and prosper without an abundant supply of reasonably priced energy.

Just reviewing the current grid, Wind farms are useless at this time with the heat. Natural gas is the winner today, no coal plants on.
