Alberta bill cracks down on distractions behind wheel

Didn't hear all the in's and out's other than the cell phone use. Is there going to be a crack down on people with their dogs on their laps to

how about people that cant drive. why dont we crack down on that

Because in alberta driving is considered a right not privilege. That and the test to get your license is ridiculously easy, letting the unskilled on the road right away. Without that I wouldn't get to enjoy Canada's Worst Driver!

I got side swiped by a young girl when i was on my peddle bike, she did not even know she hit me. Her cell phone must have been on the floor of the vehical. When she realized she was going off the road, she over compensated and veered into the passing lane. Good thing no one was in that lane. I bet she thinks she is a good driver and cell phones are not a problem.

Lady the other day....entering into the traffic circle on 107th Ave and 142nd street (already a big issue)...she is eating a bowl of cereal and keeps grabbing her phone to look at messages. I closed my eyes and waited for the crunch. Amazing!

She must be a good driver.
