I don't know if I'm going to make it...I still have to fix my brokenness on the wife's sled, But I think we may ride in the afternoon and head up the Darwell highway to lake Isle

I'm in. Won't be home from Rocky till 2 though. I know where they go so I'll join you in progress

I am sure you will but drill the ice often for depth

we are seeing various ice depths on our lakes

we saw tracks going across the Center of the lakes but not sure I want to stop there to drill the ice or have 2 or 3 sleds stop together in a group yet

we have a lot of problems with springs and methane bubblers on our lakes too

your brokenness on her sled? I've been there. Let me know. By the time I get in and get the sleds out, it will be 3. Should still have a couple hrs of daylight.

Lac.Ste.Anne and Lake Isle are pretty stagnant... I saw a truck ripping doughnuts across Wabamun lake in the dark yesterday morning just out from the main pier...THAT takes balls and missing braincells. I'ts one thing to rip across on a 600lb sled at 50mph quite another to rip circles in a 2500kg truck.

The guys are pretty careful and have been doing ice depth checks for a while now.

I can't make it either Ian. Got a couple Christmas party's on the go and a couple chores around home that will be a lot more pleasant with the warmer temps. Good luck on the repair job on Arlene's sled.

I'm not sure, but enough for them to decide it's enough for multiple sleds with fat dudes a load of posts and an auger

I'm gonna poke some holes in wab tomorrow to see what we have in the bay and if I can track out a path across to docs cabin so I have a nice "stumble home drunk at 3am" walking path
