What's your fix?
There are.no tabs or anything on those, they just hang there.......

What i did is first removed the hood so i could easily work on it.
Using a heat gun set on a low setting i removed the whole frog skin. Then i cleaned the hood surface with alcohol, then reapplied the frog skin properly and carefully.
I used 3M contact cement(weather stripping) glue and ran a thin line along the contact surface of the frog skin, use your finger to thin out the line so you have a skin of glue. You have to let this stuff become tacky before installing or it won't work. Also wear latex gloves not to contaminate anything.
To help hold it in place you can use masking tape and leave it overnight before removing the tape. 3M masking tape works best as cheapo masking tape won't stick very well to the hood plastic.

Oh this is a different problem all together.
Look at my pictures at the start of this thread, this gap is big.

I can't see very well in there, did you damage the piston's, is that why you put up the pic's?
Buddies sled, I have to pull mine apart tomorrow and see. The v-vent under the frog skinz by the steering post is leaking.

If you zoom in on the picture, you can see scuffing on the pistons.

I see now, i haven't seen a problem with the top vent yet but the frog skin under the top vent have been problematic. Is your deformed?

Maybe just a thin strip of black gorilla tape to block it would work, clean the surfaces good and put a strip the full length, that black gorilla tape works well

Any idea who has a set of intake frog skins in stock.
I have two sets on order but they may not be in, in time.
Will have to hunt a set down Monday one way or the other.

Any leads would be appreciated.

So the early release sleds have these tabs on the v-vent but it looks like China forgot them on the mountain cats..........
