hello rowdy.... i have had several compressors over the years..... and i am thinking that all three of these will be noisy as hell .... go on kijji and look for an older belt driven model with a piston pump... i have one , ( 5 gallon )and it wont make you spill your drink when it kicks in .... get your electrician to install 1 thirty amp breaker in your boobie cave...i mean breaker box. you will only need one , the rest of your plug-ins can stay 15 amp .....i run a 140 amp plasma cutter and the compressor at the same time with no problems .

I'm hesitant about buying on kijiji only because of A. my lack of knowledge on the subject and getting screwed or B. no return policy. lol. For the amount it will get used, peace of mind and a warranty I will probably be ok with the nosier DeWalt one.

...that's "Hertz". :)

It depends on how that circuit is loaded up whether or not the 15amp will do. I don't have the max draw of that Dewalt unit readily available, but I run it on a circuit that also has roughly 300W (approx 3Amp) of lights on it and haven't trippped the breaker yet. Give it a try on your 15A circuit and if it starts tripping breakers, put it on another circuit.

I need an air compressor 101 course apparently...lol. Thanks I will pick it up today and when my garage is totally finished put it to the test with everything running then go from there.

He's right about that. ...they are pretty noisy, but I didn't want to spend too much money on mine and liked the fact that the pump is oil free and maintenance free.

Check out Peavey Mart ...... They have an excellent compressor called an Iron Horse. This one used to retail for $1200 and last year I saw them for sale in their flyer for $375. This is a big boy compressor but works great. I have been running mine for a few years now with no issues.

I just went online and it says there are no current flyers at this time. Do you have a link to the compressor?

It was on sale last year but I thought the regular price was less than 500. You just need to find a Peavey Mart lol.

If Ur running anything like a die drinder or impact ect. The bigger the tank the less I kicks in.

I have a upright 60 gal , 5 Ho oilless, 135 psi compresser and sometimes its not enough.

Also use 1/2 feed hose ( not 3/8 ) ans try not more than 25 feet for normal use.

I have a 3/8" line coming off my compressor into a dryer and water separator, then 50' of 3/4" steel line that feeds into 4 T lines. At the end is a 50' recoil (3/8"), I run a 3/4" impact, 1/2" impacts, die grinders, etc. I use an inline regulator at the end, and even through all the bottlenecks, I still have 105psi. For what Rowdy needs, she will be just fine to plug her DeWalt compressor into any 15amp receptacle, hook up a 50' hose recoil, and go....the only problem she will have is that the oilless compressors will wake the dead when they kick in.
