Air Canada leaving bags behind on purpose

I always suspected airlines leaving bags behind purposely and this just confirms it. Horrible! Some people take years to save money for a holiday and AC can just ruin it in a matter of hrs.

I went to Victoria a few years ago, the flight originated in Winnipeg but stopped in Edm to pick up passengers. When we got to Vic, everyone from Edm stood around waiting for baggage, only to be told that they "forgot" to load all the bags from Edm....how the h&ll do you forget to load half the planes baggage?!?!

When me and my wife flew out of edmonton airport to go to the mayan riviera two years ago on our honeymoon i witnessed this happening personally. Luckily we got all of our baggage but there was a bunch of people at our resort that didn't get there bags for a couple of days after they arrived.

I have travelled lots in my life for both business and personal and I cant even estimate how many times I arrived at destination without luggage. Last year it took 4 days to get two bags back. A couple years ago I was at heathrow gazing out the window and notice two bags fall off the little trailers they use to haul them around. My layover was 6 hrs and after watching cart after cart go by no one stopped to pick them up.

And this is why I try to exclusively travel on Westjet.

Be there done that too. They lost my bags in Toronto. Hate to say it but Westjet services have been slipping from my experience in recent years and found AC improving. I am sure Westjet's popularity and growth has made AC change their attitude.

last december wifes bag went missing on our trip to Europe. Missing from Dec 4, returned to us Dec 26, with articles missing. AC lost her bag in Toronto, and it never made it to the EU, just sat in T.O. for a few weeks. She was not a happy camper, even after we had to replace everything on day 3 of the trip. You there and luggage where ever, just sucks

Well that is just dirty, to hell with AC, this is why I like to stay at home, where my four wheeler is :d

Honestly the best airline I have flown with is Canadian North but they only fly the north. With any other airline I would have had over 1000 in overages, by the time the counter person and I were through I had 400. And they still give meals and free specialty coffee, gotta like flying with an airline that cares.

ive had nothing but trouble flying westjet and find them very unprofessional, they've made me miss my flight and they are always late for connections.....

I have flown a total of 7 trips and never lost a single bag on westjet, a/c and airtransat. My time will come though.....

flown lots also. never lost anything but i've seen it alot! another really bad airline for losing luggage is Delta!
