I had my hood painted by a tattoo guy in Spruce Grove last year and after several tries it was a disappointment. Thought a guy that does tats would be detail orientated. My advise is to see a couple pieces that the person has done. Ask them if they spray their own clear coats or have someone else do it. My clear coat is total orange peel. I decided since I had to sand most of the clear coat off to get rid of orange peel, I'm going to try my hand at making the grafics look better.
Check out hot rod shops and talk to their artists. They may do small jobs on the side.
Was done at Bruno's Classic Restorations in the west end.Had to have some plastic welding done then painted candy brandy wine.He has a guy come in to do art work.
Picking up hood today will get the guy's name then.It was pricey but alot of work was done.Right now he does classic cars but want's to get into sleds and motocycle's.
The artwork was $700.00 but the candy paint overlays some of the true-fire.Was expensive but ya only live once.Got the hood back together now looks different again, can't wait for snow
