I guess my Klim boots might make this season but will have to retire with just 2 seasons. They look good but when I turned them over to check the soles  There disintegrating quite rapidly. Those fancy boards I have on my tunnel to help keep my feet on them are not the greatest things for your boots.

If we combine our boots we'll have one good pair, my soles are like new but my toes are all cut up from when I put the 16"wide track in the old s-chassis and had to flip some bolts and rivet from the inside out for clearance.

Those bolts you speek of, im guessing for the steering hoop, just Red lock tite them and grind them dowm so you dont hit them. Thats what I did on my old zx and it worked fine they never came loose.
