Im looking into Aftermarket Tunnels. Im interested in Putting one on my Nytro.

VE Tunnel - Looks tough and rugged, reasonably priced, comes with back fuel rack built in

CR Tunnel - Looks good, reasonably priced, not sure about the back for spare fuel, Its alot thinner back there than the VE.

Chad's tunnels are a copy of VanAmburgs, call Mike VA. He's more than willing to help out anyone and answer any questions, but yes you can get a rack on a CR tunnel. Rory @ Pure Addiction for VanAmburg... but you already know that one Ron..lol

Chads tunnels don't even look close to VE tunnels.Cr's IMO look way better and it's a Canadian product. Both are really close to the same price.

I dont know if you are referring to my tunnel which is I agree unbuffable, but also remember I qaulified the damage. Your remark leaves one to believe that hauling fuel will damage a CR tunnel. If you notice I have 2 racks on my tunnel and yes I haul 2...5 gallon cans full when need be. I have NOT damaged a CR tunnel from hauling anything. The resulting damage to my tunnel occurred when the sled endoed off of a cliff some 20-25 feet straight down. The snow was only 1-2 feet thick over solid rock. I would quess NO tunnel would have survived that incident. The sled is a M1000 so it's no lightweight.
Chad is a great guy, we had some issues due to the new model year and the plumbing around the revervse, but all was worked out. Chad is very easy to communicate with and very cooperative.
For the turboed Nytro I think CR tunnel combined with the CR M10/skid/suspension/integrated drop brackets, is the ticket for the steep and deep.
And no I dont work there. And YES I pay for all my parts from CR.
I also believe the VE tunnel is of great qaulity and workmanship. My turboed Apex had a VE tunnel on it and I had no problems with the tunnel.
Good luck with your build.

Tunnels are not even close to each other. With the CR you get a tunnel cooler with the tunnel.

Straight from CR Racing

"the base tunnel package is $1600, includes u-cooler and bumper, the blue is done by polishing first and then powder coating a transparent blue, $580, and the suspension drop brackets are $140. Total $2320
We can ship greyhound collect, probably around $50-100 or I use Purolator with insurance and that is $150. And on either way $50 for our shipping box.
We are about 2-4 weeks out on orders placed now."

CR tunnels are a very nice piece, Ive installed a couple of them. I don't know if Fabcraft makes one for the Nytro but I had one on my old T-Cat mod and I loved it! Strong, with great running boards, until it met the same fate as snotrocket's!

I have had a few of vanambergs tunnels years ago and loved them. Havent tried one of his new tunnels, almost did but I went with cr. Seen a guy with a vanamberg on a brand new apex (straypussy on SW) and he bent it haulin his 5 gal can up the trail on the way to the chalet. He mounted the can behind the holder location on the tunnel because he has to change his exhaust so it dosent hit the can. Anyway it still bent and I know I have hauled 2 cans on my cr at the same time and not a prob. Chad is willing to work with guys to give them what they want, changes in design, bigger coolers, ect. JMO Oh and I pay for all my stuff too. ha:D

Hopefully your comments will clear up certain issues being discussed.

the Terra alps racing tunnels have the best foot traction availible with open slots too clear out the snow easily but not too large too let snow up through them like the eliminators. they use 80 thou material as well so its stronger then those using 63 thou. that cracks. also one of the first to use side coolers as well so the snow doesn't build up on the running boards, others mentioned are now using the same concept.
