Aftermarket throttle block for pro? Throttle stuck sick of this sled

Does anyone know if there is a solution out there for the sticky throttle cable thats on the pro rmk ??? Mine sticks all the time so frustrating, I clear the ice all the time and still have issues in the pow !!!! I love the sled but sick of all these issues I have had to fix any input would be awsome

So frustrating , I replaced the quick drive with the tki belt drive , replaced the front a arms because they seperated , put full suspension on it with a Kmod and it just seems to be one thing after the next , now the throttle has tryed to kill me multiple times

i would inspect the cable and make sure its not tore anywhere that would be allowing moisture into the cable, also make sure its not pinched anywhere, and there are billet throttle blocks available i believe cr racing makes one

which one would you recommend?? its not pinched or frayed anywhere its been doing this in the pow for awhile, im pretty sure this is a common problem?

We really had problems last season and a few times this season the cable has frozen (stuck 3/4 to WOT) on our Pro's Anyway last season I was working on a rubber boot that went over the flipper and throttle block as the problem seem to originate there, when in over-the-bars conditions.

The last proto-type cover was a neoprene beer can cover cut to fit over the flipper and block. I did not go much farther than this but I would like to see a guy move forward on the design.

Mine constantly has this issue in the fluffy stuff. It is not the cable however, but the throttle assy itself. Is seems if I ride with the heated grips on it makes a nice little chunk of ice form between the flipper and the body. Is is clear ice so unless you are looking for it you wouldnt notice. I pack a little knife now strictly for cleaning out the ice when I stop. I would suspect an aftermarket assembly would cure this issue.

its a 2013 , ya I had my grips off and it still was doing it , its ridiculous so you cant ride with your heated grips on and your hands freeze lol , sorry for venting just getting sick of this thing , got so much money into it so far but it may be for sale soon

I have never had any problems with the throttle cable sticking but i did replace my throttle block with a RSI billet throttle body as the stock one would not stay in one place. I keep my cable lubed to keep water out and help it run smooth.

The 13 has a 2 piece throttle block. The bottom piece (where the set screw is to tighten it) likes to come unseated out of the top piece and the whole assembly becomes loose. Then when you try to tighten your block back up and you don't know its unseated it spreads the block and the flipper can stick because of the spreading. Just about every Pro I ride with has had this happen and most don't know why. My backcountry and so far permanent fix was to get the two pieces seated back together, tighten 2 big zip strips around it, wrap with electrical tape and tighten set screw. Haven't had the need to do anything different since and it doesn't even look that bad. lol
I'm guessing that's your problem and not the cable especially if your TSS doesn't shut it off when the throttle sticks.
Aftermarket aluminum ones are gonna have major icing issues IMO.

My sled is a 2014 and I also hated the frozen throttle block, and it is not just on the new style it's happen to me on powder days as far back to at least 06. I used to carry a little mini screw driver in my pocket to chip out the ice. I picked up last fall the new RSI billet aluminum block that is heated. You use your stock flipper and TSS, the wire plugs into the extra wire by the headlight. This winter so far it has been great not once any stuck throttle. Lately we haven't had many powder days but before Xmas we rode lots of dry powder days and it was awesome.

is that kill switch on the rsi a "hold button" or a switch

You have to hold it down till the motor is killed .... they do make the other style as well but I'm guessing your wanting to stay away from that one

2014 1200 miles, other than giving it a little blurp once and a while to clear the snow zero issues. I mean no more than any of my buddies who all ride different brands, pretty hard to to keep the pow out of there when it is over the bars. Wow some guys rip into anything. And we do get pow in Revy. My next purchase? Gas! Looks good today.
