All right, before we get to carried away here I would like to set the record straight here, and have a opportunity to defend our new shop. My name is Chris Parsons and I am the General Manager of ASE Motorsports, as well as a partner. I do appreciate all of the comments good or bad from everyone so far, we have only been a dealer for two months and here is the facts. A $500,000 base parts stock does not come over night, we are willing able to order in all parts that our new customers needs, and yes for the first while we will need to order most of those parts in, but as most dealers can relate thats how you discover what the fast moving parts are in your area.

When it come to the fellow coming in to purchase the new 153 sno pro, I had my new sales guy in working the floor for me while I was taking a replacement sled to on of my new customers who broke down, I apologize for his bad experience, but to clear the air there is nothing close to $2500 in a new snowmobile, but if he got a good deal I can understand buying somewhere else. I do not like losing new customers through the door, but so you all know we are trying our hardest to start off right buy getting all the right people in all the right places.

We are willing to go the extra mile for our customers, I'm a snowmobilier who love this sport, and loves this new oppourtunity to join the dealer network in Edmonton and area.

I appreciate everyones patience, understanding, and support while we are getting going. If anyone needs anything please feel free to stop by the new store, ask for Chris if you feel your having issues, or feel free to call me on my direct line 780-203-6522

ITS AWESOME TO SEE DEALERS ON HERE DEFENDING THEM SELVES. AS I HAVE WORKED AT DEALERS/ SUPPLYERS FOR MOST OF MY WORKING LIFE AND IT IS DEFFENITLY NOT EASY. I WAS ONCE EXTREAMY GREEN WITH PARTS SALES AND SERVCIE AND NOW I GET ALOT OF THANKS FROM PEOPLE THAT I DEAL WITH. ITS A LEARNING EXPERENCE THAT FOR EVERY ONE IN THE INDUSTRY AND A VERY FUN INDUSTRY AT THAT.

IT IS HARD TO PLEASE EVERYONE THAT WALKS THROUGHT THAT DOOR. BUT ITS EVEN HARDER WHEN YOU ARE A NEW DEALER AND THE CUSTOMER WALKS IN THERE ALLREADY UNSURE OF THE SERVICE. BUT THEY DONT UNDERSTAND OR MOST DONT AT LEAST WHAT IST LIKE FINDING GOOD PPL IN THIS INDUSTRY WHERE IN ALBERTA THE OILFIELD OR TRADES TAKE ALOT OF GOOD PPL AWAY JUST FOR MONEY REASONS.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR FUTURE IN THE INDUSTRY. ONCE YOU GET A TOP NOTCH RUNNING BUSINESS SUCESS WILL BE SURE TO FOLLOW!!

I picked up a brand new 09 m8 153 standard for $10,500 tax in with a $400 in store credit at Don's Speed Parts in Wainwright. Also half price on a tarp, 15% off all accessories, and they didn't charge me labour to swap my seat to the 10 seat. Best buying experience I've had to date, dealt with Don directly.
Nice to deal with a place that knows there chit for a change. Not a retard with just a showroom full of product, and no product knowledge. I made the mistake of buying a sled 3 yrs ago from the Arctic Cat dealer in Red Deer. And I don't know why but I tried dealing with them the past two years on sleds, and they wouldn't budge on prices, or give anything except a chitty "dust cover they get with the atv's" to qoute Alvin directly. Dust cover...HA! They don't know their ---- from a hole in the ground IMHO.
I remember a dealer telling me a couple years ago when things were booming ,"if you don't like the price take a hike, 10 other guys will be in today and pay full pop." The times of dealer's not worrying about customer satisfaction are over, or at least should be. And I hope the ignorant ones take a good hit because of it.

Welcome to the motorsports industy Chris:beer:.
I wish you the best of luck, I work in the insdusty and belive I have the best job in the world. I get to go riding in the mountians every weekend( I have 600 miles on my 2010 154 x already.):d

On a side note, one of my personsal heros, Mitch Payton( he owns Pro Circuit, which is "Jesus Christ" in the motocross world) Mitch is a parpalegic(from a desert racing crash as a teenager), 30 years later he owns the best hop up shop on the planet and has won more national supercross/motocross championships than anyone out there ( his riders from one time or another were Ricky Carmicheal, Ryan Villopoto, and Jeremy Mcgrath to name a few). Mitch said something in an interview a while back that has really helped me from loosing my mind during the last 10 years in the industry.
Mitch said- " I cant really tell you the what the key to sucess is, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody...."

Me and a buddy stopped in today and met Chris personally, as a direct result of this thread, my opinion is people are too quick to spred negative and too slow to say the positive. Although I have not delt with him yet I can say he seems like a great guy who has a great shop and really knows his stuff. I would say that it is worth stopping out there and checking the place for yourselves and then deciding if that is where you want to deal.

Chris - I appreciated your time today and look forward to meeting you again.

Good luck with your new venture and I wish you all the success in the world.

Kevin

bought some accessories from a.s.e and found them easy to deal with. will most likely be buying other products from them like a sand spreader.
