Haha, yeah SE asia would be a time, definitely would like to do some beach bumming at some point.

I will be stoked when I get to try these bad boys out on some big hits, and I don't mean hitting a big stump haha

Best thread on S+M by far IMHO ! Gonna miss all the awesome pics and the stories. I definitely was living vicariously through your thread Dan! Huge thanks for everything you did for us. Hopefully you received enough thanks for it! Good luck with everything in the future! And hopefully you find your stoke!

Wow, what a **** show. haha Feeling better today though.

Yeah here is the deal, the thread is basically over. For a few reasons, main one being I don't feel like it.
Long story short I'm sick of the internet. S&M is ok sometimes, but over all Instagram and other forms of anti social media
are a big waste of time and ruining our society IMHO

That being said, I got some more camera gear and I like taking pictures of my rides, so I will share some stuff from time to time when its good.
(If I even can, PhotoBucket is done and I cant seem to get pictures to upload today. Not sure whats up with that?)

I will be headed to Revelstoke this week some time, but to be honest I'm having a hard time getting excited about riding.
I hate the cold, no fawking base yet. Just gonna send it into a rock or some chit break some ribs ext.
Risking my life every day, to make it into some sketchy zone away from other riders.
All while flushing money down the toilet and missing out on other stuff I could be doing.

So we will see what the future holds, going to go sledding for a bit and think on it.

Cheers Dan

Dan, maybe you are just riding the wrong area? Last Christmas we rode 10 days straight and saw 1 group of 3 people.

Yeah I'm sure you know a spot or 2 Chris. Thing is
We are pushing into untouched big alpine and see no one at all.
(See the pics a couple pages back.)
Riding trees and creeks might be a little
Safer, (I do that too) but I've had 2 friends killed tree
Riding. Watch those gullies, could suprise
You. Be safe out there.

Cheers man

What! Was this recently?

That would bum anyone out.

My buddy was burried in an avalanche last season, self rescued and dug out everyone else in his group.
Definitely has changed him, lost his Stoke and hasn't ridden since.

At the end of the day, the risk has to be worth the reward, and that's all just a calculation you have to run for yourself.

Look within young lilduke.

End insight.

No one put up a pic or vid thread this year so I'll post this hear I guess. Snow is starting to get good again and looking
like it is going to be a good week!

High avy risk and low vis though, so will be sticking to the thick timber.

Lost both my GoPro's and didnt want to pay 500+ for a new one!

So got a chinese knock off one for 70$

Any ways not the best quality vid, but its alright for 70$.

Haha thanks man. The quality was bad, but way better before than the youtube version.

Not sure why youtube downgraded the quality so much? Wtf

That was pretty low down on the mountain, more of a base when you gain elevation.

The old freeride has been taking a beating this week. First smashed my console, right side air vent and gauge lens.

Then in another yard sale bent my skies and broke my throttle.

Now a busted front arm for the second time this season. Beefed up the shock mounts, now its breaking in new spots...

Need to go full custom. Im going to start building custom skids here, because this is getting stupid.
Not only do they do a half assed weld job at the factory (that's an easy fix, I reweld my whole skid when i get the sled)
but the material is just crap, and that is harder to fix.

First break from December jumping:

IMG_20171214_162453_042.jpg

got that fixed and beefed up, been jumping the sled again and now it breaks here....wtf

Did some "custom" work to my controls, relocated my reverse and high low beam to inside the glove box
for super clean controls. No hand warmer, but they haven't worked in a while any ways.
No kill switch.

It will look a little better one the gauges are fixed and back in...

Yeah the air box took some damage, duct tape was the easiest fix for now. Won't see it once the gauges are back in.
