One thing I noticed and don’t like, it doesn’t turn side to side as easy as the NA sleds, the extra weight placement makes that noticeable to me.
I found the same until we tightened up the front rear skid shock. Big improvement in handling!

Cant resist stirring the pot ....

Soooooo...did you actually take it in the trees.....8+ minutes of edited vid and looked mostly like logging trails and medows to me....lets see some video of tight trees, sick lines and #kd drainages.

...looks like a nice sled ...game changer ehhhh not likely....will i pony up $22k cdn ...nope ....sleds have now seemingly evolved to be beyond ability of most riders. Video didnt look like 850t did anything a previous summit / M / pro couldnt do ...

I agree that NA sleds have evolved to be better than most operators.
The turbo will have the ability to thrill (scare the liven chit out of the operator) in all conditions to a new level.
They will sell and they will provide a new level of thrilled!

It's only money........ain't no pockets in the coffin.

We ride tight trees all the time and I do agree that the NA 850 will get pretty much anywhere a T850 goes just quicker and easier for some situations like pulling a steep creek to bust into a new zone. The NA will maybe take a couple tries vs ripping it the first time. If you want a noticable "you can't even make it" difference then I think it's a big aftermarket turbo set up that's been available for a while and comes with its associated headaches.... been there done that and bought the T-shirt twice! My only decision is TFreeride or TExpert?

Couple times I was in a bad spot, lost a sidehill on the creek behind Renshaw cabin, tumbled in it and thought I was for sure stuck. Buddy didn’t want to walk down to ski pull. Pin it and wiggle, once the boost kicked in and the track speed took off, it pulled out of there like a freight train. There is a very noticeable difference in the T vs NA, when that track starts hitting 75+kmh, it starts hauling ass.

It’s well worth the $22k and if you can ride will take you to the next level. Def not a machine for a new or noice rider, kind of like a 600 vs 1000 sport bike.

Nice writeup Maxwell and video. Some nice riding through the trees.

Are you planning to do anything with the rear skid to calm the front end down? It's no different than a NA 850, but I would assume with more power its also more rodeo to ride at times.

That’s not true at all. The 850T will go places and do things a stock 850 will not. Plain and simple it has a 30-40hp advantage. My video may not be the best example of that but at the end of the day you are moving much faster, making more ground speed, and things are happening faster. It is far more exhilarating even if the stock 850 is pulling the same lines you are doing it faster and having more fun. End of story. Put them in 2 feet of fresh and now your going places the stock 850 will not.

Don’t have any plans yet. The 850T is kind of what you make of it. When you see my front end coming up it’s because I have my feet in the back, limiter strap on long. And am trying to make it do that. If you position your body slightly forward I find the front end will stay as planted as you want and will climb a wall if need be. I plan to leave it that way because it gives you the flexibility of having the best of both worlds. Sometimes you need to flip around and come back down

you hit the nail on the head. Never happy lol. This is a cutting edge product delivering buckets of fun. i sense alot of jealousy on here, facebook, all other social media. for most of us, this sled is the golden ticket to enjoying life at 8000ft.

Could'nt agree more Maxwell. A factory turbo is what everyone has been wanting and hoping to predict during the Snowcheck season for 10 years.. they get what they asked for...still not good enough!

Put softer primary spring 120-300 in with 33mm pin bolts, 2 grams heavier then stock on clicker 1 at 5200 feet revving 7900 pulling strong, now I still have 4 clickers to up the RPMS when going up in elevation. engagement dropped about 200 - 250 RPMS.

The dyno graph will never be 100% accurate on the turbo because the dyno loads the engine/turbo difference then a cvt/snow.
The turbo sled will make full boost before 5000 rpm on a dyno when on the snow it will be just coming into boost at rhat rpm.
Don’t take this wrong not hating at all it’s just how it works.

Mark Paaso who’s a experience tune said he never uses his dyno to tune because mid range will be too rich in reality because of this. He said sleds on the dyno he will see full boost at 4000-4500 rpm when that’s clutch engagement in reality because of how it’s loaded it’s not the same as dynoing NA or a car. Still a good indication but it’s not 100%
