i culd care less bout the top speed my 06 800 has outperformed so many outtys and leave them hangin in my mud the next straight away they fly by while i drink beer, assholes. i know it when i see it. wouldnt pay more when i get more from the ol 800
You probably don't see more of them because they have only been out since LATE last fall, not many people buy them in the winter . All the other quads that you see on the trail have been around for at least a few yrs, of course the NEW XP's will take a while to be regularly seen as people replace the machines they have etc. Also many are concerned about the bad reputation that Polaris has had with realiability of there other lines etc., it may take a bit before they see that the XP's have been improved alot over the old ones.I have a 2008 800 sportsmen HO with chip , pipe , clutch kit and it works really well for the most part. With all those upgrades I raced a 800 outty stock and we were dead even until top end then the outty pulled away. I just bought a 09 can am 800 x and stock for stock the can am would smash the sportsmen. As far as in the mud depending on conditions , in the bottemless mud the can am will go twice as far because of weight and wheel speed. In the clay mud they are pretty close. Just going by my expierence since I have both. As far as the 850xp I dont know because on two rallies with a total of 1100 quads I only seen one as it passed by while I was having a beer. So if they are so great and cheap price, makes me wonder why I dont see more of them.
