All depends on the dealer
They actually don't, and this bulletin is specific to the 850 TURBO. did you even read it? i could not find where it says "depends on your dealer"? it very clearly states the Muffler is not to be tampered with. Its your 23k so i guess do what you want LOL. But i would get that in writing from your dealer. If they are on the hook for a 10k+ bill will they still say the can is ok and pay out of pocket? If they will thats great!

DAMN, they applied a lacquer to parts to tell, that is hardcore.
I only have 1 year warranty anyways, but Im sure missing hot meals.
BUD's 2 is pretty cool if you ever get a chance to see a printout on the life of a snowmobile engine. It has a lot of documentation. We had a customer that ran a turbo on his 2016 for a couple months then took it off. Long story short he had a warning light deleted in Yellowstone and then blew his engine a few months after the turbo was removed. They caught the time it was on a turbo from point A to point B and killed his claim. He was out the motor and lost the rest of his warranty.

Here's a warranty friendly cooker... unless brp considers heat shield modification an "alteration to the muffler".
