All these greenies fail to realize what we do to the earth for lithium to make batteries, most of which will end up in a landfill somewhere. Total bunch of hypocrites!!!

Lithium batteries are recyclable (to some extent), where oil and gas is a one time use thing. Think of how steel is recycled worldwide, lithium batteries will likely be like this one day.

I fail to see where the economics fall into place for a consumer, at the price that they dare ask for these vehicles, and what is the lifespan and replacement cost of the batteries ? 5 years @ $ 5000.00 ? dont forget, enviro fees ! rest assured that the cost of electricity will rise substantially .
granted we will see changes, ..... wondering what is going to pull your toy hauler ?

mining lithium is pretty darn destructive for sure. Now add in the Bird Slicers (wind mills) and batteries that they take to regulate the power then need replacing at set intervals. Bird Slicers are only efficient for 2 years and wore out in 10, then need replacing. Don't forget to had in the helicopter time and deicing fluid in the winter. Greenies are not good at math at all. Just look at Trudeau's and Notley books.....nothing adds up.

Economics in electric vehicles today are a joke, gas all the way.
The future is electric in developed nations no question about that, the technology will evolve very quickly. I for one will miss the sounds of a big old gas engine but can't compete with the torque of an electric motor...

Lots of torque in an electric motor for sure, the motors have not come very far in the last 50 years. Battery storage technology has made some gains. One day they might be able to separate the Oxygen and Hydrogen molecules. This would end energy problems for good. Lots of water splitting patents have been made. Lots of techniques are being tried. Lots of gains have been made.

And THATS the kind of technology we should be focusing on. Not forcefeeding bad technology.

As much as I despise taxation......can you imagine what would happen if we took every penny of the BS carbon tax and provided it to our academic institutions to research real green energy alternatives? It would create an environment that would attract forward thinking companies, and actually create an economic stimulus.

As for travelling abroad that would come to an end as electric planes that could carry a payload won't happen for a very long time. Farm tractors that are electric, really suck when it dies in the field, so all the crops would be a thing of the past hmmm not smart thinking in my mind. But JMO!!!
