Having issues with the EGR sensor on my 06 F350 SD.
Looking at the price of a new sensor its more than just doing the Delete kit.
Who has done the delete? How long does it take for you to do yourself?
Who makes a good complete delete kit? Anybody in Alberta stock a kit?

Already run an SCT programmer so no worry on setting codes.

Thanks for any help.

Its just running like crap again. Blowing blue smoke, chugging at idle, low power.
Was good all winter but now that it warmed up she's acting up.
I always use Diesel conditioner every tank, never let it idle. Just long enough to that it kicks into high idle mode then I kick her down & go.
I will be pulling the sensor & cleaning it this weekend but in the long run its better to just get rid of the sys.

you should pull the egr valve off too and clean the soot from the pintle and end, but also look down the hole inside the intake and see if there is any sign of coolant at all.......... Jus' sayin'

Like Summitric said and if the EGR end that goes into intake is goop instead of soot it is leaking. Not throughing any codes?

still got warranty?

check out this guy's site.
POWERSTROKEHELP.COM - The Information Source for Ford Power Stroke Diesel Owners & Mechanics and Home of EDAS® "Engine Damage Avoidance System" for Powerstroke Diesel Trucks
TONS of good info on there. You can do a pressure test on the coolant system to see if your heads are leaking. You can also check out the bulletproof website- they also got a similar test.

If you still got warranty, tell them you got turbo LAG, 'turbo fart' , Lack of power, hard starting, poor mileage, loss of coolant, loss of oil. That should cover most of them items. Soot in the vanes of the turbo clogging it up, leaking EGR cooler. bedplates warped. Blocked oil cooler. The egr cooler tech bulletin also covers the oil cooler. At which point you tell them to do a delete.
If you get lucky enough and it's the heads, off comes the cab and off you go to Mopac buy yourself ARP's and have them put'em in along with the egr delete... after getting your intake washed or chem cleaned.

You can also try replacing your fuel filters. But only use MOTOCRAFT parts, they're sticky on that.

The SCT is awesome. But the SCT from Matt @ GEARHEAD automotive in texas is awesomer. SRL for studded engine is just wicked.

Or put in a Cummins 12/24v and sell your 6.0 engine while it's still together. If my craters, I'd go this route.
