it's going to look pretty wild once that riser pipe is gone, she will be a full bore no restriction stream of oil and gas pounding out of the BOP into the ocean. then they are going to try and fit a sort of plug over top of the clean cut and seal it off. I'm totally addicted to this live feed, been watching it every minute I am home....:d

earlier they were showing from the backside of the cutter, looked to be a cable type that was driven by a wheel at pretty high rpm.

Looks like they are trying to cut the top off the riser. Should be interesting when they make that final cut.
