4 Stroke Turbo's there is quite a few now on the market, what are the differences, pro's, Con's. There is different stages of turbos and there are different mounting positions, Front mount, mid mount and rear mount.

Are you thinking of adding a turbo to your sled and which one are you looking at? Ive seen MCX Turbo, Powderlights Turbo, Impulse turbo and more.

one ride to the mountains on my poor little phazer and I knew I wouldn't go back without a turbo. I originally had my sight set on a MCX Turbo for it, but I had since heard some very negative things in regards to the reliability. Essentially, I was told that I could kiss my motor goodbye very quickly if I were to get one. Of course this is all word of mouth or friend-of-a-friend stuff.. If I had more confidence that it would hold up then I would bite the bullet.

But for now I'm sticking to ditch banging until I can afford something bigger.. or until a reliable turbo comes my way.

Call Chad at CR racing, he is a really good chit. Ask him about MCX. I know this will start the hate mail for me again. CR builds incredible sleds and many are under pressure with MCX. They test and tune many days a year. The he said she said thing is a hot topic on turbos right now.
Also call Dean at Alpine motorsports in Salmon Arm.
The same can be said about this company as CR, just diff. turbos
Then you will have at leasta front and rear opinion.
Good luck, Sooner or later you have to quit listening to the voices and just get some BOOST

Pretty impressive vid Ron. How many horses are you pushing with that turbo? buddy of mine picked up a Nytro last year and when comparing to the summit it just didn't perform as he expected. A turbo is definitely the way to go by the looks of that video! what does a powderlight turbo run you these days?

This is one of the first vids from powderlights, My sled is just being built right now and won't be ready till mid September.

The stock Nytro seems to have the power that doesnt stop but needs a bit more track vrs the summit, but put a turbo and a couple of goodies and watchout

Powderlights Turbo see there site

First of all Alpine has one of the best customer service I have ever seen.Second it runs like a champ every time. It's been a gas and go sled for 2 seasons know. And all I can say is it scares the sh!t out of me at 15 psi. That's the best part.

My buddy rides mcx turbo on his nytro and rode almost 2500 kms this year with no problems and the year before he had a turbo phazer he put over 1500 kms on and again no problems, power is second to none. That phazer ripped as a gas and goer and his nytro still rips as a gas and goer, just my two cents:d
