3rd Engine-07 Summit 800

What exactly was the third engine failure?
For the manufacturer not to honor the warranty tells me there is something the owner has done wrong.

I've been running different toys all my life and have never had an engine failure.

I started in 1970.

#3 is the one he's trying to get from BRP...

Thanks for everyone's posts...obviously, he's not the only one having problems.

first motor was topend rebuild , motor would rattle took it in ,piston slap they said. second motor was compleat dorp in . piston skirt broke of ,took crank and everything out. got motor on goodwill [ L.O.L] had to pay labor. $750 and change. secound motor was caused by bad build the first time .told complete topend done ,only did one side,pto. mag side let go second time. 350 miles between motors , 1700 miles total.

Your problem sucks I ride Yamahas & Iv'e never had that much trouble they weigh more but I drive it home good luck

not sure but, 6 motors come on there has to be something your bud or dealer is doing wrong here. maybe someone should check the oil pump, let the sled warm up before Wide Open Throttle. come on here i'd call BS on this.[/QUO
Well i am on #4 on my 07 XRS all was warrenty Its got dick all to do with the oil pump. BRP had a bad run of junk cases.

talk about bad luck, how do you get 4 motors in a row with bad cases? hmm, somethings not right there. piston skirts breaking , usually from piston slap, (worn out or loose clearances, maybe full throttle on a cold motor, never hurts to warm it up) maybe have someone else do engine work as i have a lot of questions

The friend I ride with has a 07 XRS with 2200km and the original engine. He runs shell synthetic oil. Awesome sled after the challenger lite track was changed out for the powder max. Best suspension skidoo has put into a sled!!!

Friend of mine has one with i beleive over 2300 Miles or more, and she just died one ride. Suspecting the crank bearings are shot, which will cost a whole short block. Either way Ski-Doo had alot of issues with the 2007 sleds, and it was made very know/clear to man. hope all works out for you guys in the future. Take care.
