My son is getting into this 3D printing thing. Right now he's working on cos-play props. He's done a couple neat pistol replicas, now he's built a sword. Problem is its a bit weak. He has it so the blade sections lock together with super glue. Its strong enough he can swing it around, but he wants to coat it (with epoxy of some kind maybe?) to add strength and a bit of gloss. I don't work with anything like that, wondering if anyone here might have a suggestion or 2?
I suggested for the next one to add a fuller he can fill with epoxy, colored maybe to get a some cool effects, like live edge tables and stuff.
