I am lookiin for a set of tires for my 420 Rancher and was wondering if 26" Mudlites or mud bugs would fit? And which tire do you think is better?

ya they will fit , mud bug float / dig better but wear faster , run them on my 350 and 500 honda's

I bet with a lift you could even run some 27'' buggs on that 420 500 forman turns emm and from what I hear them 420s do got more power so thats an option too. You might have to lift the rancher to clear em not sure abotu that

26 inch max. on the 420 you would loose to much power. I probably would go with 25 inch. The reason being this 420 are not much bigger than the old 300 hondas, with a 300 and after market 25 inch tires they are stilll light enough to throw around but got the traction. my 2 cents.

in thick mud 25's will turn better..

with mud bugs don't go over 26 or the tread bars get much smaller for some stupid reason.

and yes you can turn them in 1st.. in thick mud my 350 with 25 mudbugs " piped and tuned " would have problems with 26's in gears out of 1st when climbing steep hills or thick mud ..

a 420 does have more power I know this, my uncle rides one. but to me that just makes 25's more viable.

meaning you might be able to get some wheel speed going up big hills and what not with 25's opposed to 26's.

Its up to you.

I've just noticed that these ranchers enjoy rpm's to hold their power band and when climbing large hills or in the mud with my 350 and my uncles 420 "hes rolling 26" bugs" they can use all the extra help to get those tires rolling once they are rolling its np tho.

pss* id like to add sometimes being able to turn a tire isnt enough sometimes you need to have the power to get the rpms to clean them.. with 26's on my 350 i could not do that.. i have enough trouble with 25's cleaning them out in thick mud.. and in peanut butter mud its good luck...
