Buddy took his 240 SJ to Gibbons, they say the ECM is pooched and the old and new part numbers from Mercury are discontinued...

What to do?

Stand alone ECM of some kind? Used ECM from anywhere? I think this will be a common issue going forward.....

any help appreciated.

Should be lots of used ones. Facebook has a sport jet site lots off good guys with used parts on it.

Awesome, thanks!

I'm looking for a 824003A31 or 824003T31 if anyone sees anything pop up.

So I have been looking for a while and found none for sale really....

What does a guy do? I'm thinking this is not going to be an easy fix...

Any ideas for a stand alone ignition box? I think the Merc V6 fire multiple holes at the same time? hmmm....

or does a guy get ready to start retro fitting a V8 or something into these boats more and more as SJ parts availability dies off?

Looks like a lot of work to get a 309 intake in there....
