Likely our shortest season yet ...started late and pretty much ended month plus ahead of 2023 ... April 14/24 vs April 30/23
Fyi typically riding 1300'-2000'.
All tucked away till December...

Two of us rode Owls on April 10 parked at 8 km and unloaded in the snow.Surprised there were no tracks just the odd deep trenched spots were visible. The snow varied from 6” to 18” depending where wind moved it,probed 2 different spots in the trees just over 7’ 🙂

Snowed a bit yesterday. Still good in places. Base at elevation hasn't gone down yet, but the valleys sure are melting quick.
But nobody wants to ride. I'm still hoping to get a few more days in.

Graph claims there's more snow up there now than this time in the past eight years.

July and August are some of the best rides We've taken part in over the years...

My friend flew up and down the Eastern Slopes of the Rocky Mountain's and lots of Snow up top...

Central Rocky Mountains all the Way South too just North of the 49th....

He mapped out a few spots on his IGS system...

Old school mapping from days gone by...

He said alot of high elevation Grizzly Bears came out of their 2nd or 4th hibernation session,,, Cats are on the move...

Lots of tracks up and over as they jump form Valley too Valley...

Sun too your back and watch for currants off your left wing tip...

If anyone looks back a few years from now and was like "how bad was the 2023/2024 winter, really?"
Here's a video from my buddy as a reminder how bad it was.
