542 lbs with fuel. That’s getting lite.

Fill it full and weigh it ! That’s just over a 1/4 of a tank of fuel in the sled . Should come in around 590 full of fuel if he’s using a viper/winder 38 litre tank

My question is how much does it cost in modifications to make it this light?
Depends how handy you are with some things. If you can fabricate and weld then it doesn't cost to much. But a battery, exhaust, intake and headlight delete can lose a big chunk of weight for cheap. After that you're looking into more expensive options like belt drive and seat.

I'm rehabbing my one shoulder so be a later start to the season for me so I'm going to try and get mine down to 580ish lbs ready to ride to keep me busy until I can ride.

Pretty easy to get them down to 600 with bolts on . I did battery , seat , headlight delete/ carbon insert on my viper and was down to 615 full of fuel. Added weight along the way with a baker skid with coil overs , raptor front shocks and heavier bumpers. My buddies winder is 600 rtr and is basically same as mine except belt drive . 600 isn’t bad but it’s where all the weight is they are not balanced well
