Another very Mehhhh show, grabbed my bumper for the g5 at remers renderings. Checked the catalysts out, and the new Polaris expedition and can am maverick. Then I left, didn’t even get 45 mins total, got there at 3:45, gone and in the truck by 4:25. Was like 6 sleds at show and shine. 1/3 the booths had nothing to do with Powersports

I was there at the same time. Not a lot of anything other than a few bumpers and a bunch of people selling over priced Munster crap. Is it me, or did the price on the kill switches double? $159 for a kill switch?

I got there a half hour before closing. The parking was 80% full. Lots of people.
After your answer I messaged him and he said the pic he took was pre show. Yet his Facebook post was titled hardly anyone at the show this year? 🤦‍♂️

I was super impressed with the catalyst lightest mountain sled I’ve ever seen and so easy to put on edge. I sure wish the would have gotten there stuff together sooner. I just bought my first skidoo 850 this week. On doolaid I just can’t swallow it

Had a friend there that said the engine is extremely low in the chassis? He thinks if you hit a rock the engine could be physically damaged. What do you think when you saw it?

I’m thinking throw a skid plate on which I always do and you’ll be ok. If you hit a rock that hard the sled is probably a total off anyway so probably a non issue. The prototype had a lot of “love” marks on it. Looks like it’s been ridden hard

I think that chassis in a 154 would be insane fun for low snow or spring conditions. And a 165 turbo doo turbo for deep days, The airbox design and hood latch is super cool. The way you can takeoff all the panels for full access. The belt drive looks really good. It’s on Cam, so you can change gearing without buying gears.

Looks like they put some thought in it. I hope it’s easier than a Gen 4 to work on

any and all pics would be appreciated, came down with a shitty cold and decided not to share it with everyone else at the show! As much as all the bitchers crap on how poor the show is every year I'm pretty sure it beats the hell out of working sick!

Lots of room for a turbo in there.
Talked to Irmen in the cat booth and he’s going to be running a supercharger on his 600 catalyst this winter. First one in Canada. 858 is going to be a great sled. My son and I enjoyed the show. Got him a new suit at Martin’s. Talked to Ron at S&M headquarters.

Show was decent…
Lots of people…
Had a good look at the new Catalyst, it’s impressive in the details. Still needs some type of forced air… as a NA sled it will be great.

Met the infamous Rknight… good chat Ron👍🏻
