That's a tremendous story but let's not lose site of the fact that rider would be dead if not for sheer luck. His riding group was not well trained and did not know how to properly use their equipment. It's a wake up call and a reminder to practice with your gear every season and do some mock searches.

Staying at the Glacier House 3rd weekend of March, any guesses if there will be snow on the trails at lower elevation this year? Hate to keep our reservations only to have to load up and drive to a different trail head.

We be there in 9 days, but sounds like they will get a ton of snow over the next week or so... hoping there is a bunch left when you go!

Stayed at peaks last week and rode from there, couple thin sections before the booth but not that bad.

My nephew has ridden there. A favorite area he said. Couple of his buddies rode there 2 days previous to the slide

A few skiers today.....

And just think how excited they all are to be squished in there shoulder-to-shoulder in lift lines, chalets, and on the hill all day.

I love how sledder pow days involve barely seeing anyone except for the parking lot. And enjoying the natural beauty of the mountain vs manmade runs
