I can see a skiff of snow poking through the clouds this morning on lower elevations of Boulder. I have seen a few sleds on trucks around town so there are some getting out there

Hi guys. After almost 14 years I bought another mountain sled. We used to drive from Sask to Revy back starting in 1998 LOL.. I know. I'm old as hell now. Moved to Kelowna a few years ago and kids are getting older so thought I would get a sled again. Last one I had was a turbo Apex that weighed about 2500 lbs. Worst sled I ever owned. I remember riding Boulder on Oct 31 in early 2000's and we made it to the top.. barely.... With my 8 foot probe I could not hit bottom anywhere. It was wild. Will probably ride Greystokes area mostly but I want to come and tour Revy again and see what I can remember and see if I remember how to ride. Going to be interesting. At my age the brain still thinks I'm invincible and the body proves me wrong every time. LOL.

From one old timer to another, welcome to Snow and Mud.
Check out the thread Silver Tip Sledders in the Snowmobile Chat section. You may find some guys your age that are still into having fun.

I will do that. Luckily I have a few neighbors that heard I bought a sled and then they both went out and bought sleds so they don't get left out LOL.. Have another buddy of mine that is also currently looking for a sled as well so I should have a few locals to go out and have some fun with. I will need to get out a few times and get the feel for this thing before I head out to Revy and get in to the crazy deep stuff. ha.

It's always doom and gloom yet somehow I always seem to have a good time. It's easy to predict the worst because if you are right you can gloat and if you are wrong people forget because they are happy.

Well, winter seems to be starting later and later. Doom and gloom or reality? No sledder want to be right on low snow conditions.
Everyone can have a good time in low snow conditions if they choose, do some exploring in low snow conditions, I don’t really enjoy it, but I’m sledding I spose.
This was the 2016 Xmas trip the snow was snow, the second pic is just past the frisby cabin, we dropped into the trees in that exact spot two days prior, didn’t even make it off the trail and that summit was buried.
