Wonder how much warranty on the turbo this year? All I could find was up to 3 on select models

Mach z with 175 ? Who doing it. 180 stock should be easy to get 220-250 ish

Launch control would be cool to have on a mountain sled. Can you imagine how impressed peeps would be when you left the posing lots in 2.4 seconds. Show up all those wannabee parking lot posers. Lol

Then you could blow all the paddles off the track before the first corner

No kidding LOL. But on a serious note I could see how this could be useful to get out of a sticky creek draw with no run in. I could put this launch control to use daily. Maybe we will
See it in the mountain sleds one day.

Curious on the tech behind the launch control on a cvt clutch.

Yep...the PPS skid is nicer than anything we have here.

54 North will have one soon. I'm trying to see if I can snag it as a demo for one of the trips next month.

I see the 2022 spec sheet claims that 165hp is maintained to 8,000ft. I thought it was 10,000ft last year.
I missed the release; did they discuss changes to the turbo system or tune?

Its small potatoes, but I guess Doo isn't offering the Kashima coated shocks anymore? Couldn't find anything about it on the spec sheet.

Poor color selection again and still 165hp. Keeping my 2018 another year it looks like. I know the turbo has more power at elevation but the stock 850 still rips so to justify the cost to trade out Doo needs to step it up. I can turbo mine for far cheaper than trading. Better shocks on the summit X, hp bump with turbo and color customization would be a start!

my feelings. I am excited about Lynx coming to N.Am
I am excited about it because now it makes it even more hard for Polaris/Cat/Yamaha to compete because now there will be 5 brands of snowmobile.

Not that it will be more hard like make them go bankrupt, no, this will make Poo/Yam/Cat "work harder" at raising their own bar to make a good snowmobile for the market to keep competing.

I think the release of LYNX make the executives in Poo/Cat/Yam have a feeling of despair, because LYNX will cut into Poo/Cat/Yam market share.

Lets for fun say that out of 50 mountain/longtrack snowmobile sales there is
18 skidoo
17 polaris
9 cat
6 Yamaha

Now there will be….
16 skidoo
15 polaris
8 cat
5 Yamaha
6 Lynx
So Lynx will take a 10% market share in mountain/longtrack and add % to BRP N.America.

In the past, I always like the looks of most Lynx compared to skidoo.
I think since 2013 that skidoo and Lynx look almost the same though now.
I like the Lynx and the 4100 (165) makes me drool.

this comment makes me think you have not spent a solid day on the new turbo in deep snow at altitude. I dont beleive you would have the same opinion. An aftermarket skidoo turbo is not the same machine as a new factory turbo expert, not even close. It might do a straight up pull marginally quicker, but that's where the benefit of an aftermarket kit ends. You need to get on one for a good ride before coming to the conclusion that putting on an aftermarket turbo on a 2018 gets you the same product as a 2022 turbo expert, Because it doesn't. The rideability just isn't matched. im not sure what more can be done in regards to stepping it up than adding 30hp at elevation with 3 years warranty on pump fuel? ive tried them all, boondocker, silber, the list goes on. They are good but ill take the 165 all day long over "185" aftermarket. I think youll be waiting a while to upgrade if your expecting the manufacturers to boost their snowmobiles beyond the HP level they were designed for along with the drivetrain components? Just my opinion.

What is the big difference from a summit x and a lynx? No turbo on a lynx, rear suspension looks different - better? I don't know. Different snow flap. What other differences between them?
