Now that this has happened to him in later years he will be to poor after buying guns, ammo, camo, tags and fuel to buy drugs. I'm glad to see younger kids getting out and experiencing the clean life and what really matters.
If he plays his cards right he will get a bunch of stuff when I pass. Teaching a young person some life skills to be able to find food and know how to process it is huge, most people couldn't feed themselves if grocerie stores didn't exist. He was in helping and full of blood when I dressed the bull out, he wasn't scared to get dirty.

Hats off to you, thats dedication. O ya nice goat
Ha, ha! Thanks for the vote of confidence, but that's my son. That hike would kill me now! That's goat number 5 or 6 for him since he moved to the Elk valley. That one's 8 5/8". Actually the smallest one he's ever got. Looked bigger in the spotting scope apparently. :p

Nice here in Alberta from what I hear it is a once in a lifetime tag. If it is even available now. I’m sure it’s a tag I will never chase now!

Final tally in for the year.
2-deer, one elk, one moose.
Sadly this year there are no pictures.

One of one deer but nobody wants their pictures posted any more, just how it is.
And a pic of the new silent ride to stands.
Backpack and rifle to the stand on sxs trail, always glad to make it home alive in the dark on ice.

Got my first this year on November 12th
20221112_165813.jpg
. Spent 2 weeks in Grande Cache looking for muley and white tail but they weren't moving much until it got really cold a couple weeks ago...the day before I left.

Ended up stopping at a friend's farm on the way back to Calgary. Couldn't get the big buck to come closer than 600ish yards but a decent sized doe did come in.

I'll never forget my first.
