I saw a pic of the burnt sled and not much remained. Fuel leak is what I heard.

Are you talking about going across the creek a mile or so back. I though the yellow gates were all the way up at the staging area

This gonna be a late riding year all think?
LMAO - not a chance unless they get a record amount of spring snow, current snow level is about 60% of normal, and the less they have, the less there is to melt so it goes even faster. If things don't change soon, they will likely be mostly done just after Easter if the grooming stops. A few of us will push the access as always, but once the groomings done, most of the sledders are done.

I was out March 15th and the coal creek road was turning brown at the end of day. Talked with the groomer guy and he said if we get the heat and doesn't freeze at night Morrissey will be gone in no time and Coal creek will follow shortly afterwards. WE probed 6 feet which is LOW for March

Anyone know what the story is about the sled that burnt down on the coal creek road a week or so ago?

Our group stopped and offered assistance to the guy. Story goes that the sled wasn’t running well (2019 doodoo), so he turned around and not long after it started shooting flames out a footwell so he parked ‘er and got away from it. He said it took 90 minutes to turn into a pile of goo!
