Anyone else having issues with their new 850’s idling? My buddy and I both have 2020 Summits and they’re almost misfiring at idle. Hoping it goes away after break in, they run great wide open though.

Do you have a can or the stock silencer? some cans can cause issues.

First day on my 2020 Expert. It idles like garbage. I have a MBRP Trail can on it. Same one that was on my 2018 summit with no issues. What is the thinking behind the can affecting idle? O2 sensor location?

I noticed my 2020 stumbles a little
Bit when idling cold. Never had that before. Stock can. Goes away when warm. Should stay within 50rpm

My 2020 is running stock can, still doing it with 1% left on break in mode. Buddy's 2020 has a Specialty can and it's still doing it as well at ~30% break in.

First ride on my 2020 and it idels like crap as well. Sam HPS can i had on my 17. I did notice that location of the sensor on the stock muffler was in a different location than my 17, at the bottom of the can vs top. But doo left enough extra wire to get to the top of an aftermarket can. Hoping we can shed some light on this issue.

did you revert back to stock can? I'd take the HP over the noise and unbalanced sled lol

Hey guys I have a customer complaining of same thing. They popped off the hood and found that one spark plug wasn't indexed properly from the factory? They put in a new plug and it ran good in his shop he said. He is out this weekend so gonna call him and see if it is running better now. Will try and remember to post on this Monday. Maybe Doo had a mixed bag of spark plugs at Rotax and this is what is going on/

mine did the same, ran like crap...I have had a 17,18,19 and now 20 so im familiar. The oddest thing was in the cold cold trailer beside my 2019 it started and idled fine...the 2020 wouldnt stay running first try. Took it back to dealer as I was having a issue with the brakes (very common on the 2020 too and there is a bulliten on this....my rotor was warped a lot!) so they put two new plugs in it and it seems to run fine now !!

First start of the day mine will sputter and sometimes stall if I flip the throttle cold. Idles fine once warmed up. Stock. 40% left.

Customer got back to me and sled is running great with a new plug in it. Maybe some bad plugs out there?

Just checked on Community on Bossweb. Some techs have found plugs are indexed out 180 degrees from factory? Must be some bad plugs? Dealer should be able to get some new ones on warranty I would hope to solve this.
