Yea but the Dakota you could get a V8.

Ya but this penatastar v6 destroys the old $hitty 4.7 v8 they had in the dakotas, has much more hp, damn close on torque and way lighter. Also will get twice the mileage. Now I guess there was a 5.9 magnum Dakota but was only in the r/t model which was a sport truck at best

You can "build a Gladiator" now, bottom of the page. No price listings yet. Haven't revealed how far they think they can bend people over at this time.

I think its safe to say that you would be adding $5000-7500 to any current Wrangler Unlimited price. $47000+ for a sport, to $55000+ for a Rubicon.

I was sort of hoping that the entry level would be price competitive with a Tacoma, then add my own rims and tires. I see that there are still plenty of '18 JL and JK models available at a discount, down here anyway. Maybe some deals on a Gladiator after the initial hoopla dies down in a year or longer and supply exceeds demand.

What do you consider competitive? A Tacoma 4x4 double cab sport which is what would be basically the closest comparable to the entry level Gladiator looks to be in the $42000 range. So if the Jeep comes in say $2500 more for a Gladiator than the Wrangler Unlimited then it’s almost the same.

I probably didn't really consider how much difference the border makes.

Well I don’t go creeping on everyone’s name just for the sake of being a creep in you perv.

When you read someone’s post do you open their profile every time to see if their location is relevant to the response?

Just showing that you can do it in Tapatalk. You said you couldn’t. Hence the question mark.
Yes if it is relevant I will look to see where they are from.

They actually had a new Gladiator on the lot at Liberty Motors in Rapid City, SD, I stopped and looked at briefly today. At first glance, the door sills seemed really high, as in probably higher than the JK......maybe. I think it'd get tiresome crawling in and out of one, especially wearing heavy boots. My enthusiasm has dropped a couple notches.

Lacombe dealership has a couple trucks in. Love the looks of them, but for $74000 they are out to lunch on pricing.

Has anyone put a mountain sled in the box of one? Pictures? With the dealership deals going on I was thinking about grabbing one if my 165 sled fits. I think it'll measure about 6.5' with the tailgate down. Thinking its too short and the sled will want to fall out but someone on here might have figured out a way to make it work.
