2020 Chev 1500 2.7 Turbo?

Good day,
I'm in a bit a a finacial bind, where I need to lower my payments or sell my 2018 High Country 6.2 (20,531kms)
I was at Jack Carter Chervolet today, they will take my truck with the super spring on it and tonnue cover, eat the loan and get me into a 2020 1500 2.7T

I am going to start searching now myself. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with this engine? I know it's new for 2019

The Niegbour has one, I didn’t even know they had that motor till a couple months ago. He has had good luck with it and pulls small trailers with SXS and a smaller camper trailer.
I have a guy’s number that ships trucks to the states on average he gives 3-4K higher than the dealer. PM me if you want his number

If the payments are an issue why not get rid of the 2018 and buy a used truck for $20k or less?

I'm not sure of your financial situation, and quite frankly it's non of my business. But say you save $500 a month on the payment, that means that a further reduction in income or an increase in expenses of $500/month puts you back in the same spot. That's definitely not a situation I'd want to put myself in right now, especially with the economic uncertainty that is still on the horizon.

Getting rid of the truck would be ideal.

As far as your thought process goes.... If I could save 500 a month, that would be 4-6000 I would have in my bank every year.
There would be no further deduction of income, with the company I'm at now.

How about no payment. I think that would be the goal. Buying another new truck when you are trying to save cash is never the best idea IMO

Feel your pain Doug... New vehicle prices are stupid and the depreciation is immediate. I swore I would never buy another new vehicle, but the wifes Legacy was cheaper new than a low mile lease return when you consider the interest rates, 0.9% on new vs 6.5% on used. If we needed to sell that thing now (2.5 years in) I'm not sure we would break even yet.

I have no opinion to add regarding the newer motors but food for thought, I bought my 2010 Toyota tundra TRD for $21K with 150K km. I expect this thing will easily reach 400K km with regular maintenance and can tow anything I own including my 9000 lb boat. Fuel economy sucks but the trade off is no monthly payment and minimal maintenance costs ($65 oil changes every 8000km)

They make it really easy for anyone to get into a new truck.... getting out is another story.

It’s a tough market right now all the good used is getting exported. I wanted to upgrade my old work truck for a 15-20000 truck. Nothing good to be found ended up going new. Wasn’t ideal but had to do something.

We've seen a few of these go out the door now and no complaints about them. Seem to be solid. I don't think they have the "meant to pull" diesel mentality that the 6.6/allison has but if used as a half ton truck I think you'll be happy with it

I know the few unloaded test drives, there kinda sporty, in a fast way

Definitely super good on gas

My mistake, for some reason I had the 1/2 ton diesel in my head when I read this... about the same thing for the turbo gasser though.

Did you end up talking to that broker? He gave me a price on my f350 that was the same as I paid for it a year and a half ago. I was going to upgrade but they are not willing to give me a new one for the price I wanted.

I did not..... There is another member here that hit me up about my truck. His price was way tooo low and the fact that I may owe too much!! But wtf..... might as well give him a call too. Thanks
