2020 alpha WOT bog

Hey guys looking for some suggestions here, my sled is bogging hard at wot, probably only pulling 7000-7200 rpm. It seems like the problem is mostly related to it being under load, as if I am stopped and punch it wide it pulls to full rpm for a short amount of time. Changed the plugs, electrical connections are good, and the throttle cable is adjusted properly. TSS have been eliminated as I have a finger throttle. I’m thinking maybe exhaust valve cable not being adjust properly? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

About 1200 miles. Only about 400 miles on a new primary spring. Not really sure how to check anything other than the spring without taking it apart?

My 18 had a similar problem the power valves were gummed up. Only had 1200 miles on it

Exhaust valve adjustment is where I would start. They fully open at around the 7000 RPM range I believe.

Check your reeds, might be broke or chipped.

Like already mentioned, power valve adjustment is the easiest first check, could see reeds also. Had bogging issues with my 17' while making decent pulls, would be under load full rpm running fine and then just bog out, took me a awhile but found it was the pipe to y-pipe donut wore out and springs stretched, new donut and springs never had the issue again. That's on the suzuki mind you, never had issues with the ctec other than chitty electrical connections throwing codes and a throttle safety switch which is now unplugged

Check and clean exhuast valves. This happend to a friend when we where riding, or actuly on two alphas. Both snombiles the wire came loose to the exhuast valve

does anyone have an update to this issue? My 2021 has been doing it since day one. New plugs, unplugged tss, new plugs again, checked apv cable gap. Looked high and low for anything and just can’t think of what to try next. 470miles on it now. Going to the dealer again Monday but I’m not sure they will be able to recreate it it. Happens around 6000rpm. Falls dead until you burp it a few times.

If you have to burp the throttle, I would guess fuel issue.

If you go to Country Cat's site on the home page at the bottom you will see technical info. Click that and you can access a service manual. There is a lot of good info and if you have a decent meter you can do some ohm checks. Its a place to start looking. The exhaust valve spec is 36.5 mm +/- 1mm on my 2020 they were off right from the factory and they did cause some issues similar to what you have. Bogging can be caused by numerous issues all mentioned above some not on here are premium non ethanol fuel, snow ingestion, injection oil causing the exhaust valves to stick. You can also try some seafoam in the fuel and see if that helps.

Thanks. I do notice quite a bit of oil from the exhaust from time to time. It feels like exhaust valves aren’t opening or I’m down to one cylinder. Exhaust valves were working spec. Gonna start checking sensors.
