With all the craziness going on I’m starting to think I’d be nuts to pick up my $22,000 turbo skidoo. Last year due to Covid I rode barely 1000 miles in BC. I can’t be the only one out there second-guessing a snow check ??
We won’t really know what’s going on in the world until the American election is over in November.

I'm wondering if the sleds are even going to get to the dealers on time. Tons of shortages on everything right now and with lots of the assembly lines shut down for months. I meant to drop into the Polaris dealer in Cranbrook last week to ask them about this issue but ran out of time

Yep, I have been thinking the exact same, with the logistics of this covid situation towards out of province plates, and the unknown of what each month will bring.

The two year warranty on the turbo is not making the decision easier either.
Yep I get it, it has a turbo, than BRP should of put two years on the turbo components, or bump the HP up.
The rest of the turbo sled is still the same as a 165hp NA sled at sea level.

1000miles in a season?? Buddy your doing good, my 19 doesnt have 1000miles on it in two seasons.

Agreed. I was going to snow check one or buy a used one to replace my back up. But since covid made us cancel two of our trips last season I don’t think I’ll be doing that. On the plus side of things, people are buying stuff like crazy!

I have heard that the Polaris sno-checks are starting to deliver. No cold feet here. Covid gave us more ride time, not less, as we "social distanced". I am looking forward to another great season and reality is setting in that there are only so many years left to go hard. Do it while you can.

Id pick it up, with how messed up the world is you might be forced to head deep into the hills.

Guys cant even go a night up there without calling S&R. Dont think them hills will be the best bug out spot.

In all honesty I had a bad taste in my mouth since we rented an 850 for a buddy and it spent the night on allan... riding along, it bogged and fouled the plugs but we couldn't get it out that night and had to come back in the next day. we were told "shoulda changed the plugs!" by the rental company. You shouldn't have to do that on any new fuel injected sled... I haven't since '06 even on my carb junk.... they actually said, go get our sled... and gave us 2 extra plugs "in case" that's pathetic in so many ways. it was brand new.....
