Hey nice to see your bringing the new generation of sledders out. And down and up the drop of doom on there first mountain ride. Break them in the right way. The young ones have no fear and dads pay for sled parts so there set.

Was up in the Renshaw Monday, like a friend of mine always says. “The Renshaw never disappoint”
Sure enough, it didn’t disappoint.
less then a handful of sleds, we saw no one and fresh tracks all day in bluebird skies.

Thanks for your interest, i have always rode multi area's throughout the province over the years. I don't get a lot of rides in like some (35-60 what ever is considered a lot, that's not me) but i do get to ride some really cool places which i prefer over the same couple of places over and over. It is not unusual for me to drive 4-6hrs to a zone for one ride and nearly 10hrs for a couple of rides, i love the whole deal.
I live near Vernon BC so i have quick access to areas that some consider the best in BC, so i don't really need to go far just to ride a snowmobile. But to me sledding is not just about the sledding, its about remoteness, solitude and the calmness i find in finding my self in the backcountry. Standing at the top of the world in some of the most beautiful landscapes that can snuff you out if you lose that respect. Sometimes i spend more time staring out then actually riding...LOL, weird.
So yes i could hammer down big numbers in rides being where i'm located but i'm fussy and more about quality then quantity. A couple times a year i'll hang out for a group ride, wife likes those at one of the local zones like Sicamous, Owls, Blue but it is not my style and more of a social thing.
I have said it in past post, I'm not a tree rider, chute slayer, meadow seeker or group rider but I'm a Backcountry rider that seeks remoteness in some really cool zones.
Sometimes i only get "out" on one trip for the month, but i drove nearly 10hrs to get there to ride 2days in a zone that seldom see's any sleds. Rather do that then rack up a dozen rides that beat the same old same old.

Yes, X-mil, 3 tours over seas. Could be why my choices in sledding, don't know.

That is awesome dude.

X-mil myself,,,,,Air force

I definately get way over the 35 days a year and feel blessed that I can also do that.

Main area is Revy (Not just the Boulder Dome, as there is tons of areas to ride around Revy) and the odd trip to Vale/Blue each year.

Will have to veture into the Renshaw 1 day. Blue bird so I can see and explore or with some knowledgeable leader...LOL.

Happy end season sledding.

Gods speed.
