i honestly dont know where the sled prices are going to stop. Its a good thing they snowchecked the 850 because everyone would wait till mid season and get one for $4g off due to lack of sales since no one snow checks anymore.

Nothing revolutionary here.... just a second place finisher, 3 years later.

I have a real hate on for doo and my usual dislike of poo.....such disappointments. Guess my plan of snow biking is going forward.

There is a price for new technology. But I agree. My dad just shakes his head with the costs sledding now.

Yeah, this is what is holding me back. I remember snowchecking a 2013 XM 154 for about $12500. Now a 2019 850 is going to be about $17000, and that's not fully spec'd out.

I am thinking the website has a glitch, there is no way that prices jumped that much.

$17200 CDN. Still a lot of money. Last year was about $15000. It’s getting to the point that many will not buy new.

The way I look at it is you get 50cc, a narrow front end and 4 yr warranty for that price.

Lots of guys spend $3000+ for an over bore, no warranty and $1000 for narrow front end. Now you don’t have to do any of that.

Look at dirt bike prices. $11500+ for a KTM two stroke out the door. Two wheels and a frame.

Side by side prices even worse.

Pricing is only going to get worse if our dollar ends up in the 60's like a lot of economists are predicting.

But yeah, seeing the current pricing a person is almost crazy not to consider buying a holdover 800 at what they're being advertised at.

I stopped at the polaris dealer today looking at pricing and wondering about a demo ride.

That was a website glitch and the Canadian pricing is what guys built in the site even tho it said US.
Its a claimed 9% gain in hp over the 800, so 177 hp for the new poo 850, it could be a interesting season coming up.

Anybody else worried about the single ringed piston ?

YES. Although with 4 year warranty I'm really considering snowchecking. Ride the crap out of it for 2 years, sell it with 2 years warranty remaining. Kinda of a no brainer if polaris pays for the rebuilds lol

Them HP numbers don't seem to add up? Polaris was right at the 155hp mark at the max hp so 9% more would be 168. nowhere near the 177 claimed. curious to see where you got them numbers from?

The axys was consistently making 154 hp. So this motor will be in the 167 range. The stock Doo make 168.8 @7900 RPM. Will be an interesting match up next year.
