Has anyone figured out how to retrofit this yet?

The tether on my 18 is starting to leak and short intermittently. Need a fix asap.

Magnetic tether is plug and play on 2018,19 cats. I haven’t put one on my highcountry yet. I haven’t had time to install it. But the instructions show it’s simple.

as stated they are plug and play into the 18's, already did mine. for the older ones you need a harness which a few guys sell on FB groups and another guy on snowest for like 10-15$. OTF also makes a much more expensive kit for the poo 850 that will work. youd have to cut off the poo connector and solder into your factory tether wiring

Replaced mine with a 2019 magnetic one.
You just have to enlarge the hole a little bit.
Also do not require the extension that cam with the earlier tether as the new one is long enough.

Wtf I just stopped at Argyll, talked to the parts guy and the mechanic and they said they couldn't figure out a way to make it work.

Said I had to buy the whole 19 harness to get the plug to seat into the tether housing.

Grr

Anyone have part numbers for exactly what I have to buy to make this work?

Works awesome
If I still have the package I will get you the part number.

The part was hanging on a rack in front of the Service desk

The Magnetic Tether is one of the best things I like on my 19, those upgrading to this tether will like it.

Stopped by BOS motorsports and grabbed one.

Also plugged my Tesla into the complementary charging posts they got out front. Thanks @Arff.

They sell them at Argyll and yes they at plug and play, must have talked to the wrong person I guess lol. Just be cautious because they sell a normally open and a normally closed magnetic tether, you want the normally open

put a magnetic on an 18 m8. Plugged right in. Connector at top of fuel tank..zipped to frame. Very easy. Needed a 1” hole for the one I had.
